Microsoft Windows 7 by default only supports 4 graphics cards (GPUs). In order to run 6 GPU with Microsoft Windows 7 you will need to modify your drivers and registry settings. This very helpful thread on bitcoin talk will walk you through the steps.

It is also possible that Windows may see your onboard graphics with your motherboard as a 6th card. You would only be able to run 5 cards. You may need to disable your onboard graphics to use 6 GPUs.

Windows 10 supports up to 8 GPUs by default.
